Aww lame, I went on my Zero today and used the 10 soul fragments I have, expecting the same thing to happen that happened before (saying it can't be used and giving me the fragment back), but instead it took one of the fragments away from me. (this was before the announcement)

Glad we are getting Soul Weapons though.

I sort of ignored soul weapons in other versions. I'm struggling to get hyped for them really. As a weak scrub are they going to help improve my damage by any noticeable amount? Or are they just another one of those nice ideas that Nexon has which never turn out to be any good?

Soul weapon has the potential to be just as good as weak neb or just a random potion, but the system is stupid imo, especially when you lose all charges upon death. So much for the 20 w.att from my empress soul, its gone upon the first death at hard magnus.

They eventually alter it to where you only use up the required charge, not all of it. Wait, you said death.

Not much honestly =P, Lower level items MIGHT be good for it if they're common. Pretty sure theres a level 90 or so glove thats common and fully tradeable

Im more so interested in the follow up to that piece, the whole "This is only the beginning of the many changes we have in store for the Cash Shop, so stay tuned." Makes me curious if there will be a stronger variant of the Hermes cube or something like that.

Edit: the glove im thinking of is that "Strong Machine Glove"

As much as I like astronomy and the chairs to show off with, I don't think it's worth that much effort and time into getting the saturn and neptune chairs... I don't think I have the time or even the patience to keep doing it knowing the odds of getting one. Until they tweak it to be a bit more reasonable and much less luck based, I'll just not worry about it. People might hate me for this comment, but I'd rather look at photos of the real planets from NASA or something instead of something Nexon made . But grats to you guys who spent the effort/time to get them.

Anyway, that new cube wouldn't be for the absolute end game gear, but I suppose it would be useful for the players that are just using what they can and afford... And just cube anything that's lv71-100 and has good decent stats to begin with. Just hope the pricing and effort needed to obtain those cubes are fair enough. Boss Arena Emblem would be another candidate for the cube at least, but you could just craft your own cubes for it anyway...

Don't get your hopes up though. There's no telling what else they'll tack on and end up disappointing us later on. Maybe they will forget, or intentionally leave out information that we will pay the price to find out later ourselves? They haven't mentioned removing the family system in the highlights.

Why soul weapons should not be overhyped or considered a good content:

Just so you know before reading this, you cannot gain a soul on a weapon thats sealed or change it in the future.

To get these boss souls you need to kill the boss that the soul belongs to. You can get up to 4 soul pieces per boss, and each boss has its own rank (with magnus & empress being the best). Stats is depending on the boss rank. Once you collected 10 pieces you can doubleclick them and get a random soul. The soul will tell you your passive stat boost before you apply it to your weapon, unless its the rare (or magnificent) one. All souls apart from the rare one is not tradeable, and they expire in 30 days. The rare one do not expire and is tradeable but mind you rates are very low to obtain it.

Stats you can obtain from magnus/empress: 24 STR/DEX/LUK/INT, 15 all stat, 760ish hp, 6 w.att or m.att. Your boss soul will only pick one of these. Rare boss soul can give Critical rate, boss dmg, ignore def, w.att %, m.att %, pure w.att/m.att boost, % all stat or % hp. Those are always going to be random (like my first rare soul give me stupid 3% m.att when I cant use that)

The first part is always nice to have, but the charged effect of your weapon is not.

To charge your soul you need to kill monsters, (dimensional invade is very good for a quick charge) and as you keep killing you gain more dmg on your weapon. 1 charge will give you 5 w.att and fully charged will give you 20 w.att (on empress at least). Now I dont know there was any changes made to this part with the revamp (which it looks like you guys are getting). You can choose to keep the 20 w.att boost or use your soul weapon skill and lose all 1000 charges. Most of the time this isnt worth it unless its a summon, which Empress is, but then again if you cap already the summon is always worth it. With revamp you only use up 250 of the charges rather than all of them. Worst part about using these skills is the 3-4 sec delay when casted.

Problem about this part, is that you lose ALL charges upon dying. This means no more free damage boost, its all gone. So if you cannot keep it after reviving in normal or hard magnus/cra/empress/gollux you still have no chance to regain those charges. Mobs that empress spawn wont give you enough, same for gollux. This doesnt mean it doesnt help you grind or boss where you normally wont die, I dont know if buff freezers will keep the charges or not.

Hope that clear some things up, but I think many of you will be dissapointed of this system, or let alone end up not bothering to charge your weapon before bossing.

They are from the king slime sailor dude in the Gold Beach Zero dungeon. or at least they were when Zero was released. Not sure if it has changed.
