And I don't see any1 complaining about those books, all that is, is CO pushing the max lv so high it has a negative value. All mw does is make you stronger, which you dont need. I find it funny how tespia in GMS is only used to report bugs in the live server.

uhh, Beholder's hex fails at all levels with CO. from 1(+2) to 20(+2)
and what is this madness that aura doesn't heal, that glitched with CO too?

meh, in my opinion, you can either go for it, or not get it at all, doesn't really matter on this patch.however, i don't see why not get it, and then train on leafre and see if monsters drop the weapons and stuff, i see as many reasons to get it, as to not get it honestly. in the end, everything gets wipedm so who cares IMO.

Your logic is awful because it is dependent on this ridiculous idea that there will be no conflicts when new data is forced into the old data which is nearly impossible without a real programming team. Which Nexon America doesn't have.

No.
You see you're stating that MW20 is enough, yet there are many people with MW30 laying around. The same can be said about Hex, Aura, and Bots. Just because a certain level is "enough" doesn't stop other people from having it past that level, especially a common skill such as Maple Warrior.

You still need the skill book to test in case anything goes wrong with CO.

i see mariettaRC. and honestly, as long as you are testing stuff, i don't see what is the problem, if you went into tespia with the mentality "HAHAHA, I TESPIAN, YOU NUBZORS QQXZORS" then yea, i'd see your point, but i don't see why checking something that takes at most 5 extra minutes is so important.

Good point. That's what I think, too, about this kind of stuff. But until they completely fix Cody, and let the testers do more stuff that we're currently able to, we'll have to deal with this.
They should let us buy Cash Items, especially new ones, for free, since.. well, they can be bugged as well. And in fact there were some bugs with them as well, after Big Bang. An example is the old cash item's UI (especially for GMS-exclusive stuff) which was ported from the old version without being revamped for Big Bang.
They're wrong for not allowing us to use the Cash Shop. I'm not saying to give us unlimited NX like back in 2008 (even if it'd probably be a good idea because it'd allow us to test literally EVERYTHING), since there was abuse and all (e.g.: super megaphones), but at least let us buy new NX stuff like in KMST. But really: they could just remove the possibility of buying megaphones and just let us test all cash items.
Also, they should give us free scrolls, miracle cubes, potential scrolls and wheels of destiny when we have to test powerful bosses like Empress Cygnus (the latter was actually done on KMST), so that we can AT LEAST ATTEMPT to test a boss fully by reaching the end of the fight.
Else the test server is almost pointless. What are we even doing there if we can't test properly everything in any way possible? I hate how they just make it look like a teaser (which it probably is), more than a serious test server. Because, if it was the latter, they'd have done the above-mentioned things long ago.
I still remember back in 2008 when they opened Tespia to test level 200 quests and HornTail.. too bad, we were only allowed to reach level 162, and, on top of that, we got no scrolls or powerful stuff we could attempt to HT with. Maybe only one group was able to reach a good part of it, but still nobody was able to kill it. Isn't that just pointless?
Well, it looks like they want to follow the tradition, because that's what keeps happening in every single Tespia round.
And maybe I can also suppose why. They probably don't want it to look too much like a private server (and you know which ones I'm talking about), but on the other side they really should allow testers to do more things and give us the chance to REALLY test everything properly, which they still haven't done.

eeh, i disagree here, i really don't think cubes and the such are necessary, unless they are incorporating some extremely hard boss or something, for this event, i don't see the need for cubes. however, let's say they planned to implement the super cubes, in such case, i agree with you, let us test that they work properly (although it's NX, so they probably won't mess that )

They could limit the availability of what NX items the testers can and cannot use in Tespia, worst case scenario. Or only add the new NX items to the table for testing as well.

You guys are missing the main point of the matter. A majority of tespia players dont have the same testing mentally as you guys!
Free NX time to be an nx whore!
Free mesos time to be rich
Finally lvl 200 time to hack
etc
The whole point they shut down tespia cause a majority was just screwing around with it. Adding all the bells and whistles of the main servers will just end up with the same outcome.

That's what I'm saying. Not for this round, maybe, but when they let us test Chaos (Future, Empress Cygnus boss, etc.), or, more in general, a hard boss / area, then they REALLY should make those available, or at least give us Wheels of Destiny and decent equips to fight the boss with, and not standard Reverse/Timeless ones. They're just not enough, and whoever coded that NPC, if he/she really thought they would have been, that person probably has no clue about how the game works.
Also, yeah, ALL the new CS items should be tested just like the other content. It's just stupid and pointless not to do it. It was proved that even Cash Items can have issues.
Should we talk about the drop rates? What the hell is the point of having 1x drop rates in a testing server? What if we had to test difficult-to-do quests? One obvious example is Empress' Might. Are testers really supposed to spend days and days of hunting just to test ONE SINGLE QUEST? I don't think so. Even if it's already released in the game, it was proved that it most likely has issues with some jobs, so testers should be able to check that out easily with really high drop rates to make sure it's bugged, and consequently report it.
In the new Tespia (the old one luckily had that), you can't do that, because drop rates are the standard ones.

Can't say you're wrong. The main reason because they're not doing what I'm saying is probably that. And it's sad, because if the community was more responsible we could've easily earned their trust and they'd have allowed us to REALLY test everything properly.

It's really ridiculous to compare Tespia to a private server in any regard, besides literal definition which Takebacker stated earlier.
Even if they gave us everything to work with, it would only be beneficial in our efforts to test. Anything that is important to real gameplay is just as important to tespia gameplay, and that includes cubes and pets. Yes, some people would screw around with it and not test anything but it's not as if it means anything, and those people can easily be removed by Nexon. The test server is open for a week at best, usually, and when it closes EVERYTHING gets deleted.
The whole "tespia isn't a private server" argument is invalid.
There seem to be a few people here who don't really understand what a test server is for, which is ironic because they seem to be the ones advocating strict guidelines for testing.
edit: @combattente - no, every boss needs to be tested each patch as well, not just new super hard ones. Look at what happened with Pap this patch. Look what happened with all bosses immediately after Big Bang. It's a continuous cycle and should be checked with each major change.

There's also a lot of code in Maplestory.exe that we can't see. What if they changed code in there? Skill.wz is just raw data. It's Maplestory.exe that does the real grunt work.
After you change any part of code, the entire code base has to be retested. This is the purpose of unit testing in programming code.
