[1.2.361] Level 140 Items

The whole Cygnus fight has less HP than Pink Bean. I would put Cygnus between Chaos Horned Tail and Pink Bean.

I just have to put +2 dex for the next 34 levels and +3 for another 34 and I will have just enough for the warrior equips :3

I thought the Cygnus here, is the nerfed version?

Amount of HP =/= Difficulty

It's good that Nexon finally realized that adding more HP doesn't make a boss harder.

That point about she having less HP than pink bean is arguable. She can summon her instructors during the fight whenever she wants and they have 300 mill HP, which turns into +1.5 billion HP each time. She can also summon Elite Knights which have around 30 million HP or so, and she has 70% PDRate and MDRate, and pineappleing pot cooldown...

Stupid Nexon. This sets should be something to help players defeat these bosses, not the reward for it, as a group that can fight and defeat this boss must already have amazing gear.

dante9898 Wrote:Now that you talk about it, what happened with that "Change" In the accuracy formula?

From personal experience, being lower leveled than a monster seems to no longer be the only dependent on accuracy.

Your own accuracy factors in a lot more than it used to, meaning you'd hit a Lv80 monster at Lv75 better with 400 accuracy than 200.
It's no longer a solid (100% - (5% * level difference)) hit rate.

...but then you still 100% hit it as soon as you reach its level anyway.

So, wait, you can only get these from Cygnus boss fight, right? I thought I read a Fiel post a different method in this thread, but too lazy to search through 5 pages.

Oh, okay. Fiel didn't answer the question though. The item names in the thread isn't the same as the item name for the overalls, I think. Korean letters are too similar to me, bu doing a ctrl+f through the thread yields me no results.

Amen.

Locked Wrote:Couple of things for your fucked up math to realize.
1. Holy crap, a 2.65% buff for something that is right now, by the looks of it, impossible to get. MY GOD. WHAT AN INCREASE. I MUST PUMP 166 STATS TO GET A 2.65% INCREASE USING YOUR ASSUNED NUMBERS.
2. Your weapon attack is too low to even be considered.
3. Dear God, the damage formula doesn't follow BASE stat, it follows TOTAL stat.
4. WHERE'S THE DEX IN THE FORMULA?

If you're going to prove me wrong by using your illogical numbers, at least try to do it right next time.
It seems I struck a nerve. Aw...

1. Holy crap, learn to read. As I said, the boost would be bigger if you have Dex equipment. Also, in that example,
2. Is it? Because, while I can't speak for everyone, I'm pretty sure I have a less than 200 W.Atk right now.
3. No pomegranate. However, the primary source of primary stats now is Potential. Would you like me to explain how percents work?
--- If you have 1000 base STR and 100% STR from Potential, then take 166 out of your base, your total STR is now 1668. 1668/2000 = 0.834
--- If you have 1000 base STR and 5000% STR from Potential, then take 166 out of your base, your total STR is now 42534. 42534/51000 = 0.834
--- So, again, I'm not sure what your major malfunction is.
4. I explained quite clearly why it's not there. Again, reading should not be that damn difficult.

If you would like, you can give me your current stats (base stats, total attack, Potential stats, etc) and I can prove you wrong the "right" way.

Locked Wrote:I honestly did. I should probably use bold instead of caps lock since it seems like I'm ... "yelling"
My point was that what's the point of arguing using math if the numbers are totally incorrect and moot?
Again, the numbers I left out were insignificant and would actually support the use of the item.

Locked Wrote:Once again missing my point entirely. It's come to the point that I don't even mind.
You're all sitting here, praising these items without knowing anything about how to obtain them or how to get them. It's obvious that getting this set is harder than getting a full Timeless set, so the effort put into receiving the entire set is going to be great. There have been people on here talking about how raising the cap just for these items is so worth it that they're even planning to do it, without even knowing how to receive the items. Have any of you given any thought about how this "set" would par if you didn't have the complete set? You're all looking at the last bonus without thinking about the other ones in its entirely. Anyway I'm done talking about it because obviously this isn't going anywhere everyone here can have fun raising their stats in disappointment, I don't mind.
There's a difference between "praising" and "acknowledging the usefulness of".

You said the items would not be worth the secondary stat; I proved you wrong. Changing your argument doesn't change your initial justification.
I'm well aware that getting a full set will be hell.
For the same reason, I wasn't ready to dump my current equips in anticipation of Van Leon equips because that'd be moronic.

Had you posted this from the start, we'd have no argument. Problem is, you chose instead to say something stupid.

Dusk Wrote:On-topic, I find the MS stat system agonizingly dumb and outdated. There is virtually no reason to add anything but your primary stat except for a few points into your secondary stat to equip items, and if a future release of an item that adds more secondary stat, you have to AP Reset to fix your problem. The entire system needs an overhaul.
Fully agreed.

Big Bang took a lot of steps in the right direction, but there are still plenty of steps to go.
Granted, I honestly have no concrete ideas on how to improve the system, but I do believe every stat should have a purpose.

I'm liking some of the suggestions for how secondary stats could be made more useful.

Hey guys, by the way.

With the Crafting/Alchemy system comes AP Potions...Meaning you can boost your AP by drinking up!
Some potions add up to +30 of a stat for 30 minutes in one gulp!

Drrrrrrrrrrink up!

Please go into Maplestory, look at your damage range, then use your calculator to calculate your damage and compare the numbers please.

I'm basing my numbers based upon a unpacked client distributed to me here. You can see the results from my findings here and here. The last link contains decompiled assembly which points to my calculations being correct.

What the f'uck nexon! Why the hell would you make it drop from the empress. Hell if a team could kill the empress already they would have godly gear to begin with....

~Slapping the idiot who thought it would be a good idea to make them drop from the boss if I find him.

They better TWEAK some things about this boss in the next few months >_>

Pink Bean Fight its only the longest (Maybe) and that is if you can kill the empress as fast as possible. Otherwise like other people said she will go with a summon bandwagon making the fight longer than necesary. Oh a don't forget the pot CD (Which is there for the ENTIRE fight) + Every Instructor its a tought pomegranate (did i do it right? im kinda new to the pineappleing bussiness) + She can summon then whenever she wants. Yes i think PB pales in comparison to the Empress.

+4 skills if +2 skill from set bonus stacks with +2 from potential

If it's cheap to make, bottoms up!

If it's expensive, fail on kMS and they need to cheapen the materials.

Depending on if all levels can create the same potions, and if the creations are tradable. Then... mule alchemist bandwagon. Big Grin

6 Dex (Base)
30 Dex (Alchemist Potion)
31 Dex Czak (100%'s? Big Grin)
22 HTP (cHTP is too hard to get)
6 Dex Earrings (3 70's seems fair or 2 30's is possible)
15 Dex Cape (No Stat Requirement for level 140 Cape and 4/7 60% Cape Scrolls)
9 Dex Wg (Cheap in MTS)
14 Dex (Bathrobe 1 10% rest 100%)
4 Dex (Aura Rings)
7 Dex (Level 17 Ring)
3 Dex (Resistance Ring)
2 Dex (2 Zombie Rings)
10 Dex (Lith Harbor / Sleepywood / Nautilus Donor Medal)
10 Dex (Black Belt and 100% Belt Dex (Wait for next pig event and save scrolls))
1 Dex (Maple Flag (Blue/Red) or Pumpkin Basket 617 NX)
________
170 Dex with only 6 base Dex for a warrior.

Then equip the warrior shoes which should give 15 Dex, and then you can un-equip your bathrobe.
170 + 15 - 14 = 171
Now equip the 140 Longcoat, which gives 30 Dex!
171 + 30 = 201 Dex
Un-equip the 9 Dex Gloves, then put on the level 140 ones!
201 - 9 = 192 Dex + 16 Dex = 208 Dex
The weapon only gives you 1 dex, so it is safe to un-equip that and switch it with the level 140 one.
208 Dex - 1 = 207 Dex + 20 = 227 Dex
Now that we have 5 of the set items, we get 15 Dex! Big Grin
227 + 15 = 242 Dex + 25 = 267 Dex
Un-equip your c-zak and replace it with your hat!
247 - 31 = 216 +

Hat. Check.
Shoes. Check.
Gloves. Check.
Overall. Check.
Weapon. Check.

Was that really so hard? You could probrably get on the items listed for meeting the initial 170 dex, besides the HTP, for less than a 25k NX card! Oh wait, I feel like I messed up somewhere. :[
