Yes, it is definitely floored to the nearest percent. From 10000 normal damage (100%) it went to 12400 (124%) exactly, even though the actual calculation would be 124.66%

Barrage for fourth job infighters:

First four hits are directly multiplied. So if your damage is 1000 ~ 1000 and at max level barrage, your first four hits would look like (2300, 2300, 2300, 2300).

The fifth hit is doubled to 460% damage (4600)

The final hit is doubled again to 920% damage (9200)

It works by doubling at all levels. So if your barrage is 100% for instance, it will do 100% damage for the first four hits, then 200% for the fifth hit, then 400% for the final hit.

(NOTE: Demolition [the 8 hit one] does the same damage every time. The damage multipliers in the strings are correct)

This means that Barrage does 230 + 230 + 230 + 230 + 460 + 920 = 2300% damage

Demolition does 400% * 8 = 3200% damage

Another thing I just remembered is Energy Orb/Chain Lightning. I heard they halve damage after hitting each target?

Update: Added most pirate formulas, including unknown ones so we know what to look for.

Another small addition:

For Elemental Amplification for gunslingers, the +% damage is directly added on top of the damage done by the fire and ice moves. The skill at max level gives +200%, so if the fire move does 150% damage, it will do 350% damage instead at max amp.

"Dot damage" has no meaning or effect on damage. It is useless.

Is that the one listed as "bullet damage +5%" and so on in the 4th job skill table?

Only Eternal Bullets have enough attack that it could make a difference (if it works like Shield Mastery, at 20 atk it would boost it to 21)

& I'm not really sure how Blaze Capsules work, does it consume one flame capsule and one normal bullet to use the fire attack?

No. Blaze capsules are all you need to shoot (90% sure on that). They give +16 WATK.


SOMERSAULT WITH GUN:
Oh, and I remember you commenting on how Somersault used a weird damage formula as a gunslinger. It doesn't use a weird formula. The damage is calculated without the bullets.

:l no proper item DBs around, Basilmarket's flame/ice capsules don't list a w.atk. Maybe they'll release higher level stronger flame/ice bullets at some point and it'll make a difference, +5% to 16 w.atk is 0 atk..

Okay... more information about Pirate stuff.

First of all, the strings are wrong in the game for Burst Fire (what we know as Triple Shot). The strings say 190%, but the data says 210% at max level. Keep that in mind.

Gaviota/Octopi use the same base stats as the pirate that used them. The "Attack Rate" in the string is equivalent to the WATK in the formula. Pretty simple.

(Primary + Secondary) * WATK / 100


EDIT:

I figured out the Airstrike formula as well

((STR + DEX) * WATK * PERCENTAGE) / 10000

Bullet Damage is supposedly an addition to Flamethrower's burn effect. Could that be looked into?

For Airstrike, is that maximum or minimum or...?

Somersault with a gun - so it uses the gun damage formula without bullets? What about Gun Mastery, I assume it doesn't affect?

Gaviota/Octopi - bullet damage is factored in? Nevermind I'm blind

I had forgotten to calculate the WATK into Airstrike.

((STR + DEX) * WATK * PERCENTAGE) / 10000

No idea what min is yet, nor do I really want to calc that out. Sad

I said this in IRC, but I don't believe you were there o-o

So you found that
1. STR has a constant 1.0 multiplier with a gun equipped
2. DEX has a constant 1.0 multiplier with a knuckle equipped

What's DEX multiplier with a gun equipped? Surely not 1.0?

That air strike max damage formula is off....or i'm doing the math wrong.

((110 + 874) * 139 * 12.00)/ 10000 = 164.1312

164.1312 = 16,413 max damage doesn't it? That's the stats from the 161 corsair calculations....and i've seen 15x captains do double that. O_O

I haven't done the math but it seems like it's just a normal % of the damage range skill. It hasn't ever seemed like it would have it's own damage formula.
