Original League of Legends (LoL) Thread
This weeks free champs:
Amumu
Cho'Gath
Fiddlesticks
Jarvan IV
Kassadin
Katarina
Kayle
Nasus
Teemo
Urgot

What i want to know is, when the hell is Cassiopeia going to be free :l
Oh wow, I just brought Cho'Gath.
dante9898 Wrote:My first 4 items are:

Boots(Usually Buy the full boots third and then finish the items in that order)
Bloodthirster (First i buy the scythe)
GhostBlade(Second i buy the avarice blade)
Infinity Blade

(Im doing it in this order lately)
and the last 2 are the flexible ones.

Just toss a negatron in sometime mid-game. You don't have to get a full item. After bloodthirster maybe.
Just curious, what runes do people use for Karthus? I'm thinking about getting him to make people rage once my current Tank runepage is done.

I already have Magic Pen runes (using it with Amumu). Perhaps get flat CDR or CDR/level; and what Seal runes should I get?

P.S. Leveling to 30 is so mothaf'ucking slow. Then again, I play a few matches every weekend. Rolleyes

Brb trying the hybrid Cho'Gath tank build when I get the chance. Rolleyes
Possible Sona build:

Archangels Staff
Shoes (depending on the situation, either merc treads of swiftness for run aways)
Aegis of the Legion
Frozen Heart
Banshees Veil
Deathcap.

I was thinking about Auras, which is why Aegis and Frozen heart, but frozen could be changed if there are better auras out there you guys know about.

I usually get Defense when i have a hard time dealing with harrasers and what not. But i only have problem with people with escape/hide skills that pineapple me up with my highlander+Ghostblade combo, because it takes me like 3 or 4 hits to kill them if i land a good number of Crits (Last time i checked, i was dealing 800-900 crits with my 4 basic items).

Lmao I actually thought they needed to make it harder to hit 30 :/ too many level 30's get there with only learning one champ.
I tested jarvan and i must see he is a really good char, really versatile and good damage output too. Also excels on the Harassing department XD.

Any good build for him?

In my last game i went Manamune>Berserker Boots>Ice hammer>Ghostblade>Was building Bloodthirster.

A tanky tanky and/or Damage build would be cool.

While I wouldn't agree that you can hit lvl 30 only learning one champ, I do feel it's pretty easy to get there learning just a few.

As for Jarvan, I've heard he's kinda like Garen/Xin Zhao/Nasus, so Banshee's and Sunfire would be a pretty good starting combo for him as a tank, and if you wanted to, you could build tanky dps after those, or continue with tank items.

I guess: Balance team:

Sunfire, Merc Treads, Banshee's, Aegis/Guardian Angel, Two more tank items or two DPS items

Mainly DPS:

Thornmail, Merc Treads, Sunfire, Frozenheart/Randuin's, Two more tank items or two DPS items

Mainly Magical:

Sunfire, Merc Treads, Banshee's, Force of Nature, Two more tank items or two DPS items

ScarletDoom would like to have a word with you.
Patch notes are up.

Banshee's Veil refresh time increased to 45 seconds from 30 seconds.

Anivia
Glacial Storm mana cost reduced to 75 at all ranks from 75/125/175
Updated all of Anivia's animations to be less frigid

WHAT IN THE FLYING pineapple IS LESS FRIGID

 GOOD GOD MASSIVE VEIGAR BUFFS

Ah, yeah. I feel you on that. Hard as pomegranate to taunt Akali when she's in that damn smoke cloud.

I played Jarvan in some quick bot-rape matches before work and he's quite fun. I just played around with the first build on Mobafire and it raped bots perfectly well. In a real game I'd consider farming a tear of the goddess as long as I care to and getting a sunfire cape instead of Youmuu's and IE, respectively. Different shoes in a lot of instances too. I just like the mallet+atma's combo.

@Patch notes.
No more banshee's for me. QSS!

It should still be pointed out that BV stops most spells in their entirety before they can affect you (usually), while QSS only lets you selectively dispel debuffs at any given moment. Given that good human reaction + server latency (50ms ping) is roughly .3-.4 seconds, it can still mean the difference between life and death. Besides that, normally you don't make use of BV every 30-45 seconds anyways, unless it's in a standoff situation.

--Anivia's level 3 Glacial Storm is now god mode. What were you thinking Riot!? Not only is the lvl 3 burst cost cheaper than the old Glacial Storm (125 vs. 135), but it's highly sustainable now (25 per tic vs. 45 per tic). Oh dear... At least the complaints about Anivia being unapproachable early-mid game are addressed though.
--Cho'Gath's Feast does significantly less damage now, but in exchange it scales better. Round of applause, as an 800 true damage nuke was too much. Vorpal Spikes now have higher base damage and higher AP scaling. His viability still remains imo.
--Irelia has received base damage nerfs on her Equilibrium Strike and Transcendent Blades, as well as nerfs to her base HP and MS. She may no longer be as much of a menace in lane now, but now she's even less so during team fights. Also, Equilibirum Strike scaling went from 1:1 to .5:1, meaning AP Irelias will have a hard time doing much. This also makes it easier to itemize against her.
--Lux's Prismatic Barrier can now save more lives. In return, her spammy laz0rz scale slightly less. Personally, I would have vouched for a somewhat higher cooldown if there was a problem with it.
--Maokai got buffs all around (I wasn't aware that sapplings had a life duration). His ult took the direction of Anivia's.
--Singed is even less of a tower shover now: his armor scaling with level took a hit.
--Sion's base HP took a significant hit. Now he'll be easier to destroy in laning phase.
--Sivir's passive now works! lolololol
--Sona's passive has a rework. However, it doesn't quite explain how it is executed. I'm going to guess it's just an auto-attack that packs an extra something based off of your current aura. Also, her ult took the reverse direction of her nerfs in that she can spam it more often.
--Veigar has a new dance. OP NERF NAO!!
--Zilean received nerfs across the board. It doesn't stop his ult or his bombs from being super annoying, but at least we'll rest easier during laning phase. If you can rest at all.

--Banshee's Veil bubble has a 150% increase in its recharge timer. I think this is starting to affect its stupidly good passive during those standoffs that cause the game to drag on and on, which is good.

--Minions are now less OP vs. turrets, and cannon minions now spawn every other wave past 35 minutes. Bravo! 20 minutes was too soon.
--10% bonus exp for everyone when champions are in exp sharing range! This also means an indirect nerf to solo lanes and junglers.
--Zilean ulting an ulting Tryndamere no longer causes him to die like a regular wanker with GA. Haha, good times xD

TL;DR
--Beefy bruisers got a hit in general.
--Game design made games even faster, while making minions less OP.
--Some potentially game-breaking glitches got fixed. The invisible Pantheon ult and the mysterious loss of line of sight still plagues various players unfortunately.
This patch barely affects me at all..minus the Lux nerf and the BV change.

I really, really want to play Nocturne, though.
OP:

Riot Wrote:Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare

* Duskbringer: Nocturne throws a shadow blade which deals damage, leaves a Dusk Trail, and causes champions to leave a Dusk Trail. While on the trail, Nocturne ignores unit collision and has increased Movement Speed and Attack Damage. (Dear good chasing someone will be fun)
* Shroud of Darkness: Nocturne empowers his blades, passively gaining attack speed. Activating Shroud of Darkness allows Nocturne to fade into the shadows, creating a magical barrier which blocks a single enemy spell and doubles his passive attack speed if successful.(Moar atk speed plox)
* Unspeakable Horror: Nocturne plants a nightmare into his target's mind, dealing damage each second and fearing the target if they do not get out of range by the end of the duration.(Bye Bye Chaneling Abilities)
* Paranoia (Ultimate): Nocturne reduces the sight radius of all enemy champions and removes their ally vision in the process. He can then launch himself at a nearby enemy champion.(Ganking will never be more easy modo)
* Umbra Blades (Passive): Every 10 seconds, Nocturne's next attack strikes surrounding enemies for physical damage and heals himself for each target hit. Nocturne's physical attacks reduce this cooldown by 1 second.(Early Laning Durability)

Nocturne seems to be an auto attacker Glitter. I want to play him NAO!

Gragas nerfs, but why? :<
Overall I am not liking this patch notes. Especially anivia changes again reversing some of her nerfs.

I like this "Caitlyn: Headshot now requires 8/7/6 attacks to trigger at level 1/7/13 respectively from 8 attacks at all levels"
So I heard there was a server maintenance scheduled until 12 pm pst. Why not watch a video of me playing and screwing up Cho'Gath? xD

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v4YSIndLVaM
Lol they extended it by 1hr XD. I swear it was gonna finish it by 11pm PST last time i checked.

Well at least they are not like nexon and increase the duration of the IP/EXP boost.
Anybody want to judge my Sona build i posted yesterday Sad...
