Compensation is a bad idea at this point, unless they do it right and not like last time. It'll just play right into the hackers' hands as exactly planned. I mean, why else would this hack popped up in New Years Eve, when Nexon employees are on a holiday break? Nexon should have taken down the servers a long time ago to minimize the losses. Now it's too late. A rollback is inevitable.
