See, I have a big beef with people who pull this kind of bullpomegranate. It's like trying to cover up for something you said that was wrong. It's similar to what Doc Scratch said: it's only a joke if you reveal the ruse shortly afterwards. Otherwise, the damage is done and it is burned into the memories of the recipients. These guys are only trying to compensate for their insecurities, and what they do is negatively impact others, no matter how they execute their "joke" outside of "just kidding!" a few seconds after the joke.
