A. "This guy" could refer to the mercedes in the video that he posted
B. "This guy" could refer to the angelic burster stating that the AB and the mercedes are the same
Due to the fact that he included the word "also" makes it option B. though. (Did not see that word but my point still stands that english language can be very ambiguous sometimes)
And if you've ever taken another language e.g. Spanish, you'd realize how ambiguous it can be. For example
English: Can I take your order?
This can refer to 1 person or multiple people.
Spanish: They have "usted" and "ustedes" to distinguish between 1 person and multiple people.
If you feel english is not an ambiguous language in some cases, then back it up instead of implying I'm an idiot and have no idea what I'm talking about.
If you're really really basic, sure.
"Can I take your order?"
"Order," is actually pluralized in most cases when you can tell you are talking to a group of people, as table 1 with 5 people, does not have a single order, but a group of orders.
In Spanish, I do believe they'd also use a singular for addressing an unknown amount of people. Such as at a drive-through.
Thus, an example of how both are equally as ambiguous, and not ambiguous at the same time. Your examples are over simplified and completely ignore context, and in this context, his post should have only been read one way. As there is no relevance to comparing some random Mercedes to an Angelic Burster in this topic. Not that I wish to argue with you, nor insult you, and I hope I am not coming across in such a way, I merely felt that you're describing the English language without really knowing it that well. I'd honestly go as far as to suggest that it's obviously not your first language. While I admit, I'm not perfect when it comes to grammar and the like, I would never make such a general statement as to say an entire language is ambiguous, simply due to a lack of understanding.
Besides deliberately trying to take what I said as an insult, I do not feel that you are an idiot, and did not mean to imply such. All statements I made were a generalization, except for where I called your statement ridiculous, which as far as I'm concerned does not imply that you are an idiot. Ambiguity lies in the writer/speaker, the listener/reader, and context. It's in what you know and how you know to use it, and when. This isn't an "agree to disagree," subject imo either, however, this is the last I'll say on the matter to simply allow the topic to get back on track.
