The math quiz room is great imo. They didn't add it to "educate" you. It's to stop bots and happens to fit into the theme of school.
If you get something like 18 + 42 x 22 + 42, take the "42 x 22" part and imagine it as 42 x 20, which is easily 840, then the other part is 42 x 2, which is 84; 840+84 = 924, add 60 to that and you get 984.
......or, if you don't want to think, just use calculator and do the multiplication part before the addition part.
