Please forgive my ignorance about BaMs, but is finishing blow a skill you can spam, or do you have to use some charge-up skill in between?

I suppose it's possible that Ambition's "Ignore Def" only ignores weapon def, but not magic def.

Unfortunately I can't use my bishop to test this theory because Arcane Aim changes his damage all the time. He also only has level 18 Ambition. If anyone has a mage with high Ambition and no Arcane Aim (or knows how to account for it), I'd be happy to see their results.
