That's the whole point, though. It says right there "Some people want to try out a ranged barb. We think that's awesome. Here you go." Literally, the item's only purpose is for weapon throwing ranged barbarians. What's worse is it's worse than any decently rolled one hand rare in every aspect (including damage) except for the 12% movement speed on it; even if you're doing nothing but using weapon throw and ancient spear. The fact that even its weapon type doesn't synergize with the build it's trying to promote is just insult to injury. Not to mention with how rare legendary items are you could easily find dozens of near perfect rare weapons before you even got one half decent version of this.

I'm missing something here. How can it possibly be worse in damage than a decent one-handed rare with a near 50% damage mod on Weapon Throw? That alone is easily worth as much as a bunch of crit damage and a socket.

The reason the dps is not up to par with the top tier weapons is because it's ilvl 60. Dunno what's up with that, should be 62 imo. But no, the mods on the weapon are great.
