About you hating the "glow" of IPS monitors in blacks, really, if you notice THAT, you'll hate the TN panels even more because with TN imagine having colorshift-glows on red, green, blue and white as well because of the color shifting at the edges of the screen when you're sitting in front of it because of the terrible viewing angles...![]()
I'm just warning you, TN isn't just "bad" on color reproduction and viewing angles, it's just plain terrible and worse then you think. But if you want to go 120hz, I won't stop you. Just don't expect to view photo's / browse the web with it, because you'll think your eyes are malfunctioning... it's that terrible... That's why I returned mine...
You can always go for 2 monitors, one TN Panel for 120hz gaming and one IPS Panel for browsing the web, without having a free LSD trip... xD
IPS and a 120hz will be pricey. Probably $1K+. I'll stick to a 120hz and then grab an IPS in the future. Besides I've been gaming on my Sager's monitor, so ANYTHING is better than a laptop screen.
Ty for the input!
