UK Threatens to Attack Ecuador Embassy to Capture Assange

Things summed up & some background info:

- Julian Assange, the face of Wikileaks was charged for suspected sexual assault in Sweden. However, these charges were soon dropped, but brought back up suspiciously after a major leak published by Wikileaks.

- Assange claims that he's not quilty of rape and fears that he's a target of political manhunt, and that Sweden would hand him over to the United States, where he would face serious charges, some say even death penalty for releasing American diplomatic cables and documents.

- Assange was arrested and after ten days in Wandsworth prison was freed on bail.

- Assange was arrested in London again and the court decided that he will be sent to Sweden, however Assange and his lawyers managed to delay the decision

- On 19 June Assange entered the Ecuadorian embassy in London, asserted he was being persecuted and requested political asylum

- Today (8/16/2012) Ecuador granted Assange an asylum.

Wow, I thought Britain would respect international laws. Their threat almost sounds like something only countries like Iran or Syria would do.
