You can still talk to NPCs using NPC Chat key, and if you speak to the Monster Park Shuttle and head on over to Monster Park your character will no longer be glitched. I only summon Familiars in towns with MP Shuttle now because of this.

I tried summoning my spider in the Pink Bean map and I got stuck. After the other person finished it off, I was able to click out and after clicking out, it let me move again. So, I think that it's any npc that will change your location.
