You can still talk to NPCs using NPC Chat key, and if you speak to the Monster Park Shuttle and head on over to Monster Park your character will no longer be glitched. I only summon Familiars in towns with MP Shuttle now because of this.
This might be due to the fact that the MP shuttle changes your channel. If that is so, using the Magic Mirror to go to Azwan might work as well (if you can do that when glitched, I don't know).
