I didn't see it that way. That's probably the most negative view of it. Are they really animating it that well? Now I see what you mean; you were probably expecting an affectionate parody, probably Mystery Science Theater 3000 style. If you're not familiar with that, I guess think an Abridged series with lots of snarky yet good-natured jeers.
