Then perhaps you shouldn't be prolonging it well after the people actually involved have already had their say and stopped?

I am not creating a system so the people who want to opt in to that can and the people who don't won't. We already skirt the cumbersome customization border too frequently.

If I were a mod, I would have closed this by now.

That just foments whining about censorship. I'd rather people vent and piss and moan relatively on topic here than to pollute other threads with it, start their own, send nasty PMs, VMs, or otherwise get childish and stupid. Everyone gets it out of their system, gets their opinion expressed, and sees how silly everyone else's views are with minimal collateral damage. Think of it as a firebreak.
