Moderation Enforced

and as i've said before, i'm with locked, this is IMO, too much, yea, he used a hacking device, but geez. not even basil kicks you off so hard. (that said, i understand, he hacked, he's out, it just annoys me because he actually posts useful stuff before getting banned yet again)

To be honest, as a moderator I would rather have dealt with ok'ing a couple of posts before they hit the thread than dealing with hundreds of reports from Locked about how *user* is *class* and censored their name so they are obviously *known hacker/duper*. It's shifting the work on moderators to prevention rather than damage control.

I feel like this needs to be restated because it's exactly what's happening. I feel like [MENTION=1102]Kalovale[/MENTION]; is overthinking this extremely. The entire idea of this is to prevent essentially flamebait.

@Eos; Most of the 'achievements' are based on screenshots, so why not only limit the posts that contain images to moderation? Then discussions can continue freely and that won't be an issue any more.

I don't think this is necessary to be honest but it isn't the worst thing in the world. The moderators are active enough that this isn't a huge deal, it's just frustrating that the bad choices of a few members (well, actually, one? Just Sushi from my understanding) are affecting everyone, but we'll survive.

This is a good "middle ground", but [MENTION=2054]Eos[/MENTION]; could you elaborate what hole would be left if I was put on a "ignore" list. I apologize if this comes across as "do more work for me" I'm not sure what hoops you'd have to go through in order to do that. I could understand someone posting for someone, but that could be easily weeded out, and even take the priveledge of unmoderated posts away.

I'm aware. However, the point of that post was that in most cases that would make it even more tedious to create an account just to get it instantly banned (and as seen earlier in the thread, it already took care of 1/2 of the given examples). You can't completely stop someone from coming to a forum to troll, yes, but again, filtering a few threads doesn't really solve that problem any better.

Yes it does when said people post specifically in those threads and their entire motivation to create a new account is those threads.
