Any 4th job Warriors getting Stance?

Yeah, you would get fired, as you rightly should. Selling services is a great way to provide people things - and it's not against the rules of MS.

No, there isn't. Yeah, it could be bad, if it was some sicko in real life charging to keep people alive. But often taking advantage of situations, while yes it does selfishly benefit the person/group, it still helps those in need. When there's a need for something that people can't easily get themselves, it encourages those who can to help them.

Your statement about him becoming a sweatshop manager is completely retarded. Stupid. Yes, because he is helping others get something for a cost, in a game, he is going to become a CRUEL, HEARTLESS SWEATSHOP MANAGER. YES. You're thinking in pathetic absolutes and saying crap that couldn't be farther from the truth.

But wait! I guess I'd understand better if I was living in PERFECT WORLD where everyone was completely selfless and helped EVERYONE with EVERYTHING for FREE, ALWAYS!
Of course I'm being drastic. No MMO's economy is supposed to be based around services. That's not what they're for. They're all about the production of goods. The fact that pretty much the main two ways to make money in Maple, now, are prostitution (Leeching) and scamming (Merchanting) proves there's something wrong. Maple's economy is now too dependent on these things. pineapple, every single one of these so-called "Services" directly undermines the game's purpose. Don't wanna level up? Buy some leech! Don't like your equips? Buy a slot in a Zakum run! Don't have the skills you need? Not to worry, some profiteer will come by soon enough and offer you a way to get it, for a nominal fee of course.

Hell, what's left in the game? Basically what we have now is people pouring money into Gachapon, selling Gachapon items, then using those mesos to level up their character They don't play it at all until 120, at which point they have no idea what they're doing and quit shortly afterward. Can you really sit there and tell me that this is right? That THIS should be encouraged, that it should even be allowed? Hell, it's hurting Nexon in the long run because these people would likely be playing much longer without leeching, and spent more money over time, than they would with their little binge-gach and leech routine.

Maybe my example is a bit extreme, but that's how it really works. When these people are out in the real world, trying to make money, what will they reflect on? They remember how they made money in games, by selling off something that shouldn't have been sold in the first place. By taking advantage of the poor to make a quick buck. Hell, this is how we got into the current financial crisis: exploiting the poor with subprime loans to make a profit. This is just training people that that's how you make money, and it's going to set us up for another disaster in the future.

I Do not merchant. I do not sell quest items, or leech, or anything of that sort. I will never take part in such activities. I guess that means I'll be stuck with no more than 10 mil forever, but I'd rather be poor and maintain my morals than give in and support this corruption. Hell, if I wanted to, I could use my inside knowledge of what items quests will need from KMS or whatever, and stock up on those, and sell them at patch time for a tidy profit. But I have never done this. I gave everyone fair warning about Red Whips for Legendary Spirit, a detailed list of quest items for Showa, Emeralds for Singapore... I believe that these kinds of things should be shared, and that just because I have the ability to take advantage of a situation, doesn't mean that I should.

Just because this is how it is, doesn't mean this is how it has to be. Be a man, take a stand, and don't take part.

Free web hosting -> ads on your site. I wouldn't go as far as comparing to charging poor people from free water since 2 apples or 5 million isn't that far out of reach for a level 120 character.

Selling services and goods is how a society functions.. provided the services and goods is delivered as promised. Isn't that what we're all going to college for? To be educated to gain a skill in which we can "sell" that service to the community.

Though things such as skillbooks, zhelms, pendants, etc were "meant" to be free and earned, you don't have to buy any of those services and can certain earn yours yourself nonetheless. I suppose it's what this derailed thread was about eh Tongue
It is for me, because as I stated momentarily, after making the costly advancement, and getting the more crucial mastery books, I'm down to a mere 10 million, which is slowly eroding away. Paying 5 mil for this skill is half my money, and I can't be doing that. so yes, it IS a big deal. And if this fee is so inconsequential, why even be asking for it in the first place?

Selling services may be how our real society functions, but it's what's destroying Maple's society and it needs to be put to a stop. And don't anyone try to pull out that "It's just a game" argument, that's complete BS and you know it. These are still REAL people you're playing with, who spent REAL time getting where they were. Blowing them off, hacking, scamming, these all hurt real people. Directly harming or depriving others for personal gain is wrong no matter what world it takes place in. The fact that someone is willing to do it in a game means they have the capacity to do it in the real world, and they will eventually if they aren't told it's wrong.

And yes, that's what I intend to do. I didn't buy my Zakum helmet, I didn't buy my Bigfoot toe for the Sheriff's badge. I will be earning all the skills that I can. It just so happens that this particular skill has my hands tied. If it comes down to it, and every single warrior wants to turn this into a profit opportunity, then I guess I'll just never have Dragon's Breath. I'd rather give up on the skill forever than silently condone this injustice by paying for it.
