He's providing a service - key word providing - but he charges for it. If people don't want to buy, it won't hurt them.
That said, I agree that all the things mentioned are horrible practices. But there's not much you can do. It's like the cigarette industry - you can refuse to buy them and frown upon smoking, but you can't really get rid of them.
