Nerfing Ap amumu.. Not that I own him, but using him on free week is fun. ; -;
And depending on the damage of her passive maybe building attack speed will actually be good.![]()
Passive looks kinda like a fusion of Jax passive/ult and Noct's passive. [/COLOR]
Tbh I thought AP Amumu was a bit too strong for quite some time now, IMO. I occasionally build AP on him, and I felt that was lulzy yet somewhat sad at the same time. Looking at Amumu's entire kit, he has a great passive that will amplify the magic damage he does to a target, 2 abilities with devastating CCs that will mean more headache if they are amplified with AP. And his W and E - with AP - is the "cherry on the top". With significant amounts of AP, his Bandage Toss and Curse of the Sad Mummy ultimate turn into devastating, massive nuke abilities.
In teamfights, Amumu's great CC, competent teammates, plus a team composition that is able to clean up quickly right afterwards, was pretty much the "SURPRISE BUTTSECKS!" moment for the team that is on the receiving end of the devastation. By the time they react, its too late.
AP Amumu could legitimately nuke a squishy down from full to zero with all of his abilities. (I have done this before, and it was simply a jaw-dropping moment for whoever squishy I got my hands on)
However, the reason why AP Amumu isn't built that way often is that a lot of people see Amumu's playstyle as the tank for the team, and expect Amumu players to go tanky and be responsible for initiation and peeling. Hence, not many people know the potential of AP Amumu.
This means that getting away with building AP Amumu includes, but not limited to, these scenarios:
1) Being in a premade and pretty much getting away with it by stating your intentions to your mattes and arranging the appropriate team composition with them so you can do your thing with AP Amumu (which I have done before, with a lot of lulz involved)
2) In solo queue, getting way ahead via ganks, getting AP items, and snowballing that advantage successfully without getting killed (you're less tanky as a result, though)
And...
3) ARAM
