Neither am I really. Many shows do a 13 episode rotation, with 13 being ordered after or during the run of 13 episodes. Some animations and corporations prefer it that way.
And really, Hasbro has kinda a unique thing going for them here; People buying insane amounts on Ponies. I don't think they were quite prepared for the buyers of Derpy and Zecora.
