He should have taken that girl out with him, or cut one of her whole arms, or something.

Yes, yes, yes. I don't understand. I get it, his power was fear or some nonsense. But the fact that Byakuya just friggin stood there and got shredded to pieces without even flash stepping once...ugh. Maybe the anime will make it better? :[
