I feel they did go overboard with the merges, though - GAZED is a shitfest.
You aren't kidding about GAZED. I had a friend who looked in there and ran out screaming incoherent nonsense about smegas and advertisement bots.
As for events, techs, and the rest, I imagine it will at some point be easier to manage, once they get all the bugs ironed out. Right now, they still have a hard time making sure everyone gets Hot Time boxes and events with the rest of the servers.
