I'm sorry, but anyone who thinks that Bishops should be able to use elemental weapons without the reduction has no idea just how easy bishops have it. Archmages NEED those weapons to be even comparable to any other class, let alone bishops. Letting Bishops use these without penalty makes demand for them skyrocket, and prevents many Archmages from getting their hands on one.

So what if Archmages do more damage to Bishops? Mages did more damage than Priests, and you didn't see priests complaining. Oh wait... I forgot that with 4th job we're not a support class anymore... No, wait, WE STILL ARE..!!!

Without elemental weapons, Bishops have the fastest training speed in the game, a faster ultimate, and consume less MP than Archmages. Why the hell would ANYONE want to further increase their power with something as gamebreaking as a holy elemental weapon?

Give the Archmages their elemental weapons, after all, you don't see them healing and resurrecting people in boss runs, now do you? In fact, your rarely ever see them there at all, because they lack the offensive power of melee

He says it better than me. I don't see why bishops should be equal/stronger than archmages because bishops are a support class. I'm all for giving them a good attack so they aren't solely support but imo, archmages were made to be the "non-support" mage class meaning they should have the power to compensate the lack of support skills. If bishops are able to get this boost in attack power, then archmages should get new support skills that are actually helpful and not replaced.
