He's just presumably pinging to the IPs of every channel. Doesn't take much to find out those IPs. However, my population counter is broken >_>
Not how it works.
Ping isn't even the right protocol, since it's ICMP and to establish viability you need to actually open a session to each daemon.

They redistributed the twenty channels amongst the 4 IP addresses that made up Mardia and Kradia.
Mardia CH1-CH6 now make up CMYK CH1 and CH2
Mardia CH7-CH13 now make up CMYK CH3-CH7
Kradia CH1-CH6 now make up CMYK CH8-CH13
Kradia CH7-CH13 now make up CMYK CH14-CH19
Everything else was reclaimed.
