The biggest facepalm about this, however, is the fact that gay pride parades being overly stereotypical wouldn't be a huge fucking deal if people weren't stupid and didn't immediate associate gay with rainbow flamers. This same argument you're all making against pride parades for what they "depict" of gays is the same fundamental argument behind telling a girl to wear less revealing/tight clothing when she goes out, so she "doesn't get raped."
No. To stop rape, get men to stop raping. To stop negative LGBT associates, educate those making them by opening their minds to the true diversity of the LGBT population.
