Something doesn't seem quite right with that. Traditional soda comes in either 12 or 24 ounce cans. I've never heard of a 20-ounce CAN. Bottle maybe, but not a can.
Either way, this does sound interesting. While I can't stand Dr. Pepper, I would probably just give mine to someone I know who does.

They did this at my school also, only it was Pepsi. It was when they "introduced" Sierra Mist (in 2005) to the county my school was in. The town I lived in was on the other side of the county line, and thus had a different bottling company. So we had Sierra Mist since 199x and a town 5 miles away got it in 2005. What's sad is that all the kids in the town acted like it was completely brand new.
It was fun being on the bus that day with the empty cans being converted into projectiles...
