Finished my first day at my summer internship today. Worked 7-8 hours, a bit tired as fk, but feels great man. I now have something I can focus on during the summer. Hopefully this will be my "foot in the door"/"breaking out" opportunity.
(For those that want to know, I'm interning for a congressional campaign. The candidate that I'm working for is challenging the incumbent in my congressional district in this upcoming fall general election. While it is true that incumbents have the money + name recognition advantages - among other things - hopefully things might turn out differently this time around)
Bryan, its okay. Never, EVER feel pressured to drink. Especially with your medical condition, you have a 100% legitimate excuse not to do so. I mean, I never drank before, and have resisted pressure from others to drink during my first year of college.
You have the right to make that choice on your own free will. Never let others pressure you, including friends. I would never be close with people I consider "friends" if they pressure me to do things that I have strong objections about.

I can't go to parties if the only "fun" activity will be getting drunk/doing drugs.
Meh. I guess I'm happy to even be invited to parties now.
IT WILL ALL BE BETTER IN COLLEGE. NO ONE KNOWS OF MY ANTISOCIAL PAST.
