To start out, I will be going over a few tips that will make searching for fast deals and finding willing buyers an easy process. Afterward, I will be discussing some of the rules governing the Marketplace.
Helpful Tips
--> Helpful Tips
1. The Marketplace requires that you have a prefix set for your threads. A prefix is an image that will be shown before your actual title in the list of topics. It looks like this:
This way, you’ll know from which server the given advertisement comes. Furthermore, if there is an advertisement for MTS, it will be shown as the following icon:
2. Forcing users to use a server prefix is very beneficial for the trading boards. You can choose to limit which server prefix you view through the display options.
Simply choose the server you’re interested in seeing and click on “Show threads”. Then you will see only server prefixes for the server you have selected.
Rules
--> Rules
The Marketplace runs under the basic assumption that people want to buy and sell items in a quick and efficient manner. For this reason, it is largely up to you to avoid errors in your topics. There will be no infractions for missing IGNs, unclear specifications on what it is a buyer/seller wants, or bad titles. Not being able to buy/sell your item is enough of a punishment.
However, it is in the best interest of The Marketplace to prevent certain behaviors:
Rule #1: Do not put topic titles in all caps – 1 infraction point
--> vBulletin naturally has a way to block people from posting in all caps. However, evading this censor will result in a 1 point infraction and a deletion of your topic.
Rule #2: No Auctions – 1 infraction point
--> There are many reasons to not have auctions. (1) Due to the ease of creating an account, it could lead to shill bidding. (2) The time cutoff is very short for all boards in The Marketplace which would not allow for a lengthy auction.
Rule #3: No illegal transactions – Instant Ban
--> The Marketplace will be following Nexon’s rules and procedures for illegal transactions, which include (but are not limited to) the following: (1) Buying/selling characters or accounts, (2) Buying/selling hacks, (3) Interserver meso trading.
These rules can be changed at any time. I will do my best to inform you of any rule changes, but ultimately it is your responsibility to stay informed.
