On another note, I just got queued up against an 1828 elo guy in normals. I have no idea why he's down at my level (1400s normal elo).
It's possible he was duo or more with a new friend. When I first started I was either playing with my friends on their smurfs or their level 30s. I brought down the level average but as a level 3-5 I would still end up playing against level 13-20s
