You can probably make the cubes out of cardboard... but I have zero clue how to make things for cosplays.And if you do somehow manage to make it, you should include the gloves as well, since John's technically not able to wield it without them.
I know, plus I'd be pre-God Tier John, so wielding the Zillyhoo would cause a TIME PARADOX, and possibly WEIRD TIME SHI'T. Cardboard sounds like a plan. I'd probably need to find a way to harden it so to make the cubes sturdy enough to not break. As for the gloves, yah I plan to have a pair of the blue Ghost Gauntlets on top of the regular gauntlets for the regular sized hammers.
