You'd be correct that they're not easily obtained, unfortunately, I was planning on getting 2.7k for 20%s and clean slates, but I thought even that would be difficult.
Anyway, you can get coins from various sources, like the various boxes that drop, as well as the maple tree item pot, and completing a quest through the board game. PQing, Monster Park, Pyramid PQ, Dojo, etc. Turning in 100 leaves per coin. The falling maple leaves thing has one coin every time, but it's possible that you won't be able to get it in time, so you can get 0~1 coins every ten minutes. I'd say it'd be pretty difficult, but not impossible.
