Ryze changes scare me

> Uh Morello, Ryze players do get AA (upgrade it very last) and RoA (either get it early or mid-game), and they have done so for quite a while. In other words: nothing new here. :f6:
-----------------
About the Ryze changes: Even though the Ryze changes are obvious to a number of people here, for those that aren't too familiar, here's the reasoning why they did it -
Ryze currently has only one item path and one item path only. Item build usually consists of of Tear of the Goddess (upgrade to Archangel Staff very late), Frozen Heart, Banshee's Veil, Sorcerer's Shoes (or Merc Treads), WotA, Void Staff (for % Magic Pen) and RoA. Bolded is the most common items that Ryze players use.
Notice anything about those items? Those items give him a lot of tankiness (in the form of lots of Armor and MR) as well as LOTS of mana (and HP). Ryze loves mana because it gives him lots of damage. End result is that you got someone who's tanky and can still wreck face? Wait....
Not to mention, his abilities rely on his massive mana pool to deal tons of damage. He isn't great early game, but if Ryze holds on long enough till late game, get good amounts of farm, and get his core items, he can basically start rolling the opposing team. By late game, his mana pool will scale up to massive quantities, which translates to...tons of damage.
With that said, Ryze has been a tourney favorite because of the reasons stated above (there's also other reasons too). If a Ryze player can hold out for long (and still be able to get lots of farm and stay out of harm's way most of the time), he will scale to late game, have lots of survivability on hand, and starts rolling like a bawss. And usually in tourneys, its usually a massive farm fest for first 15-20 mintues of the match, and not a lot of champ v champ action until mid to late game comes around. And guess where Ryze will be if he gets to that point? Pretty questionable, don't you say?
With everything said, I do agree with the Ryze changes. He was a really strong champ - especially when scaled to late game - and was due for some needed nerfs to keep him in check.
