I figured this is how Valve was going to do it. They'd be shooting themselves in the foot if they'd do it some other way.

Which is quite ironic seeing that the game will be free, but still, i'll prolly spend a lot in the ingame store because i want to support this game so much

Valve also said that if the community wants something, they should ask for it and they will add it if it's reasonable and a lot of people want it.
Bless valve for picking up DotA, i am so hyped for the international2 (which was also announced to be happening in not too long)
