FA has the same range as the attack that activated it. Unless the monster dies, it's basically impossible for FA to miss.
actually, i don't think that's the case, i have seen that FA doesn't trigger with impale when attacking from maximum range, unless it's the KB out of the corner that makes me miss, but i'll go check it and tell you to make sure.
