Should he have been fired?

I do not think he should have been fired. I believe the late and great George Orwell said it best "If liberty means anything at all, it means the right to tell people what they do not want to hear." some of his points were valid, namely before 10 but not all before 10.

in general a small amount of people from any group will be hostile however that is simply a part of being human. many circumstances change and shape who we are and so some of us are hostile to others for otherwise irrelevant differences.

but it is undeniable that parts of what he wrote were racist.

although many people disagree with his opinion it doesn't matter.
he's stating his opinion it's up to the reader to accept the new information or to deny it.

If people want to be spoon fed knowledge and just want some all knowing beacon to decide what is right from wrong then they just want to be sheep. It irritates me that many people treat themselves like kids by believing any new information presented to them without any scrutiny and then complaining when they see information they disagree with by saying that the person is sending out a hateful message. if you disagree then just say so and move on with your life.
