Though I can usually clear griffery before it becomes a hassle :l

Griffey also uses damage versions of the skills - if you're in damage invincibility, you're also invincible from his dispel. So, for example, my Aran, with 90% Stance, is almost never hit by them since it's easy to just stay standing on him. Papulatus's stun and dispel are non-attacking, so there's no way to avoid them except "avoid effects" skills. Also his hitboxes are effed up so you can't just stand on him.
