It's been a really long time since Shinichiro Watanabe directed anything- last work he directed was Samurai Champloo. I'm really looking forward to how his animation and work have progressed since then. Also, I'm not as much of a fan of Yoko Kanno's newer work, like in Darker than Black (though, her work on Macross Frontier's insert songs was god tier and Macross Frontier had a bunch of nice tracks in there too); but she's really in her element working on jazz for a Watanabe project. This'll also be nice to look forward too.
