The concept of making a single story character a playable character is a stupid idea in general. There's only supposed to be one of each Hero, yet there's millions. It destroys the entire concept. That's why the Heroes were a bad idea, and this Instructor deal is a bad idea if you want to create some special story for them. How do you explain anything being taken down by 6 Demon Slayers? There's only supposed to be one.

the main difference is that those guys were introduced as Player classes. Mihile was not. His canon in game gender was established years ago.

And as for the heroes thing... wlel.. each game has their own taste and flavors when it comes to them. Some games have the heroes be regular warriors with the same skills you can have. Some don't.
