Safety or freedom?

Both of them are the same thing, humans are imperfect. But we have to look at the importance of each side, the people or the government?

I would say that having freedom is better, because from your point of view from a "perfect" society, this will lead to people wanting freedom.

Ah ha, but people won't know they're being lied to. The government I'm sure has lied to us in some cases in real life, but most of the time you can't be sure what they lie about.
