You can dualize some CC recovery gems, though I wouldn't recommend this. I never really had an issue with recovering CC though. Just fall back and guard a bit. Parrying should recover a lot of CC.
Try grinding at the final dungeon? Or the most recent dungeon you're at? Uncharted Desertstretch (I think it's called), just west of the town that has the Carta game and then south has like retardedly high level monsters that, if you can kill, should give more EXP and SP. And by retardedly high, I mean that the scorpion types can probably OHKO you. And I don't care what level you are. Finish more requests for SP? Equip some more foods that provide SP/EXP for the battle?
haha I'm going to avoid those mobs in the desert. I wandered over there during the earlier parts of the story and almost got a gameover after not saving for a good 2 or 3 hours. I think those mobs are in the 90s or so. I'll wander around and try some stuff to see what works out.
I'm probably just overexaggerating how long it takes to recover CC because of how frantic these boss fights are. Even a few seconds feels like an eternity when the bosses do 75% of your health or your teammates' health in a single hit/combo if you're not keeping the boss's attention. I do appreciate that this game is genuinely more difficult than other Tales games I've played. Much more difficult.
