This is their replacement for Tespia.
Instead of releasing the new content on a dedicated server, with special coding to handle lack of skills, gear, and cash shop, and then having to deal with tons of bogus bug reports, they just release it straight to the live servers. And then keep an eye on forums. When something serious is reported, they take the game down and fix it on the spot.
Yeah, normal software developers don't like taking the live servers down randomly. But our loyalty through the "hardware problems" and "stability issues" and "DDoS attacks" has shown Nexon that they needn't fear anyone quitting over downtime.
