Ok, if I understand correctly, this cubing system will have a distinct advantage - the items being cubed can be traded and thus added to any equipment. It sounds like the process will be -
1) drill a hole in an equip
2) find the nebulite
3) cube the nebulite until your heart is content
4) put the nebulite into the equip
Fully upgraded nebulite can thus be a commodity.
