Masteria Preview?

MapleStory plays with a pretty dark aesthetic sometimes, but turning unarmed humans into skeletons is pretty extreme. Add that they're parents and the child is watching in horror?

That's too far. That's a lot worse than skeletal monsters shooting beams out of their mouths, or decrepit zombies breathing poison gas, or octopus eyes falling out when the monster dies.

I mean, I guess it's not actually part of the game, but still. The animator went a little too far there. Would've been nice if they had just shown the parents terrorized and shown the CITY destroyed. Or maybe if they wanted to play cutesy-dark with it, have the parents tombstones land and the parents become ghosts. Like what actually happens in the game when people "die".

Animation looked pretty good though. The scale was weird, but NPCs have always been out of scale with player characters, so I don't really give a crap. Probably should have cut out the game UI elements if they were going to use straight screencaps as backdrops though.

since this time this is a "trailer" or teaser maybe nexon gave instructions about what he had to do...

I mean if I remember fine he said he wanted to give a good message with almost each NLS episode and they were pretty light...

that could explain the lack of "good" backgrounds like the other episodes :f6:
