Only in horseshoes. Almost is why you get assists. Last hits are why you get kills.

Yes but Satellite's point is that someone who comes in and hasn't done a hit of damage to a champion comes in and ults on them, taking the kill from the person who did the other 99% of the damage and might have gotten stunned, silenced, or just be on all their cooldowns and it's simply not fair to them.
Assists don't count for jackshit, they also don't represent who did how much of the kill.
