% Stat Potentials affect base or total stat?

You are forgetting about MW, it's better to scroll for your secondary stat so you can keep it lower and benefit more from MW.

It's slightly more subtle than that - it's best your secondary stat base be at a multiple of 20, that maximizes MW gains.

20 base + 30 MW = 23 secondary stats (20 MW = 22, 10 MW = 21 stats)


If you have 4 dex 603 str, that's 4 dex 693 str [697 total base stats]. If you have 20 dex 587 str, that's 23 dex 675 str [698 total base stats].

Obviously only important on extreme optimization attempts, since your gear's secondary stat needs to be scrolled to the exact stat total you need.
