How was your day?

So sunday, worst day of the week for me, and I'm going to take my sweet time to type up a rant about something that really pissed me off today. Other than that, typical work day.

 Rant

Ok so my job is a "sales associate." As a part of my job I basically put up "returns" and "recover" the store. More or less, it's put up the pomegranate people return or misplace and then clean up the aisles to SOP standard and make them pretty. Well, someone from our closing shift decided that they didn't want to do their returns a couple of nights. While a coworker was recovering the basket section of the store, a big corner in the back that is basically filled with decorative storage baskets and what not she found a basket filled to the brim with returns. Oh, but these returns were obviously not the doing of a customer. They were specific returns sorted for that section of the store and had a pomegranate ton of valentine seasonal product. Valentines is over, we've clearance'd out all of it and it's retail price is one penny if it's strictly seasonal (aka we have to trash it per company policy). The sad thing is, this has happened before but our closing manager made a big deal of it and spent the next week or so checking baskets before we could leave each night. It happened once and we thought it had stopped after that. Oh, but nope, while the same coworker continued to recover the baskets she found TWO MORE full of returns. However, this time they had some Easter related product and some new product as well. Therefore, it's been pretty recent. Whatever, long story made longer. The thing that completely pisses me off is that us who were working today had to put up ALL the returns that weren't trash and pretty much have the blame blanketed on all of us until the culprit is found. It just pisses me off, I work hard and do a good job and you trust others to pull their weight and this pomegranate happens. Seriously?
