Sure, it's an updated number but it has no value because there's not enough information...
- Is that based on accounts? If that's true, you can probably divide that number by 2 or 3.
- Is that based on characters? If that's true, you can divide by way more.
- Since they don't delete inactive accounts, how many of those are inactive?
It's likely that that figure doesn't take any of the above into account, so the "real" number is probably much smaller.
