I always thought Dark Lord was a stick with some antlers hanging out with some funky thing on top of it's head. HOLY pomegranate.
I used to think he was some weird creature, and he was standing/hanging the right way up. I used to think that the gold part of his hat was his mouth and those spiky things (whatever they are) were his wings.
